MaiNtaining Pace on the Hoan Bridge

The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon has applied for permits that require re-opening of streets in a structured timeframe. For your safety and information, we wish to inform you of the following time-frame checkpoints that will be enforced:

Full Marathon participants should be:

  • On the Hoan Bridge (approx. mile 7.5) by 9:15 am (18:00 min/mile pace).

  • At the south end of the Hoan Bridge (approx. mile 23.5) by1:00 pm and at the 26.2mile finish line by 1:30 pm (14:42 min/mile pace).

NOTE: The Hoan Bridge is not a pedestrian bridge and therefore we cannot allow for “rules of the road” finishes. In the event that you are unable to maintain the above paces, we will ask you to board our SAG wagon or to notify an Aid Station volunteer who will call for a ride taking you to the Finish line which will result in a DNF.
