How can I transfer my registration to another runner?Transfers are available through September 15, 2025 or until a race distance capacity is reached. 1. Log into your account HERE 2. Look for the "transfer" button.

I wanted to transfer from the full to the half but I hear it's reached capacity. What are my options?You cannot change your current distance to a different distance if that distance/event is sold out. If a race is sold out, the only way to get into that distance/event is to purchase a bib for that event or transfer a bib from a current registrant in that distance. You will receive the finisher medal for the event that you registered for and if that distance was not completed there will be no recorded time in our results.

I can no longer run. What are my options?The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon does not offer deferrals or refunds. You can: Transfer to another race distance Transfer to another runner Online transfers expire on September 15 or when an event sells out

Is race insurance offered and how do I file a claim?During the registration process, you have the opportunity to add refund protection from Protect Group. This enables you to receive a refund for the race if you are unable to attend the event. Please note: You cannot retroactively add refund protection. If you select this option, refunds are given by Protect Group. The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon is not involved in the refund process in any way. Refunds will be given on all cart items at the time of your initial checkout (items added at a later date will not be refunded).

I never received a confirmation of my registration. How do I verify that I am registered?An email was sent to you if you successfully registered, but sometimes they go into a Spam or Junk folder based on your server settings. When you register you automatically set up an account with our registration platform, Haku. Simply LOGIN and verify all your information and send yourself a new confirmation.

How can I make changes to my registration information (i.e. shirt size) or wish to add some products (i.e. race day bib pickup)?1. Log into your account HERE 2. Look for the "edit" button.

When is the last day to register?Saturday October 4, 2025 as long as an event distance has not sold out.

Do I need to officially register to participate in your race?Yes! Anyone not registered is not allowed on the race course. This includes any type of pacer who is in the traffic lane adjacent to our secured course. Course Marshalls act as additional official reviewers and are instructed to report any infractions, which may result in runner penalties, including disqualification. No bib = No entry. There are no exceptions.

Can I pick up my packet on Full and Half Marathon event day? (Will call packet pick up)Race Day packet pick-up is available to those who selected the option and pay the $30 fee PRIOR to October 5th. Race day packet pick-up will be available from 5:45am to 6:45am. In the event you do not pick up your bib at the expo and you did not pay for race day pick-up prior to October 5th, they may be available at the start line for an additional $40 fee payable at that time. When is packet pick up for the Full and Half Marathon?Full and Half Marathon Expo and Packet Pick up will take place: Saturday, October 4, 2025 | 9am-6pm Baird Center 405 Kilbourn Avenue (corner of Kilbourn and 4th st) Milwaukee, WI 53203 If you are unable to attend the Expo, you may have your race bib picked up by another person as long as they have a copy of your Check-In Pass, which you will receive prior to the event day. This Pass can be printed or shared with another via printed copy or screenshot. Race Day packet pick-up is available to those who selected the option PRIOR to October 4th. In the event you do not pick up your bib at the expo, they may be available at the start line for an additional $40 fee payable at that time. Click here for more packet pick up information.

When is packet pick up for the 5K Run and Walk the Hoan?Packet pick up for the 5K Run and Walk the Hoan will be different from the Half and Full. There will be three opportunities to pick up: Thursday, October 2, 2025 | 4pm-7pm Performance Running Outfitters 2205 N Calhoun Rd, Brookfield, WI 53005 Friday, October 3, 2025 | 4pm-6:30pm Pilot Project Brewing 128 N 9th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53233 Saturday, October 4, 2025 | 8am-9:30am Packet pickup will be available morning of the event. Can I exchange my shirt for another size?We understand that shirt brands and styles may fit differently from what you normally order and we certainly want you to be happy! We will gladly exchange Half and Full marathon shirts that are unworn and unwashed shirts. Half and Full marathon shirts can be exchanged AFTER the race in the merchandise tent. Sizes are based on a first come availability and are not guaranteed. We will not be exchanging any 5K or Walk the Hoan shirts.

Can someone else pick up my packet?If you are unable to attend the Expo, you may have your race bib picked up by another person as long as they have a copy of your race Check-In Pass, which you will receive prior to event day. This pass may be printed or shared with another via a screenshot.

Are hydration packs allowed?Hydration packs will be allowed. The staff and volunteers of the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon reserve the right to inspect any runner bag.

Can I use headphones?We strongly discourage the wearing of music devices. Participants must be alert to their surroundings and able to hear medical emergency vehicles, motorcycles, buses and official marathon vehicles. For your safety and the safety of those around you, we strongly urge you to run headphone-free. If you plan to compete for any overall or Age Group awards, please DO NOT wear headphones as they will disqualify you per USATF rules. It is YOUR responsibility to know the USATF rules. Officials will be on the course monitoring activity and we do not want to see anyone disappointed so plan ahead.

Is there a pace team?2025 Lakefront Marathon Pacers will be available for the Half and Full marathon distances. Bio’s and times will be announced this Summer. Keep checking this website for more information. Pacers will also be available at the Expo to answer your questions.

What will I find at the aid stations for the Full and Half Marathon?Each aid station will have water, Endurance Formula Gatorade, Vasoline, bandages and portable toilets. GU brand gels will be available at three aid stations on the marathon course and one on the half marathon course.

Are jogging strollers or pets allowed on the Half, Full, and 5K Run courses?Unfortunately, due to some of the width of our course, insurance coverage and courtesy to all, we will not allow strollers, wagons or pets in the 5k run, half marathon or full marathon events.

Is there a bag drop?All 5K run, Half and Full marathon runners will receive an official Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon drop bag when picking up your bib. That bag is the only bag accepted at bag drop \ gear check. Please no luggage, backpacks, loose items or any other bags will be accepted. Slip your bib bag tag onto the drawstring and tie a knot on the bag. Items not retrieved after the race will be discarded or donated. Please do not put your car keys, cell phone, wallet, or other items of value in your drop bag as race management will NOT be responsible for lost items

Are strollers or pets allowed for Walk The Hoan?Yes, strollers will be allowed in the Walk The Hoan event! Should a participant elect to use a stroller, it is at his/her own risk, and he/she accepts full responsibility to ensure adequate space and distance to maneuver, make abrupt stops and turns, and yield to others. Any participant’s stroller use deemed to have a negative impact on other participant’s ability to fully and safely participate in the event, will be asked to leave the course. The pushing participant accepts full liability and responsibility for any injury or death that results while using a stroller during an event to anyone involved, including but not limited to the pushing participant, rider, other participants, or event volunteers. A stroller is different from an adaptive chair for a challenged athlete. Adaptive chairs are not prohibited or discouraged from events. WELL-BEHAVED dogs will also be allowed but they must be leashed with a maximum length of 3'. We ask that you start in back of the regular walkers. This is a walk and no running with a pet shall be permitted. Race management reserves the right to prohibit an animal from course if necessary.

How do I get back to my host hotel?The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon will have shuttles running from 10am-2pm from the south end of the Summerfest grounds back to our 4 host hotels: Hyatt, Hilton, DoubleTree and Courtyard.

Can my friends/family join me on the course?No, non-registered spectators are not allowed on the race course. How do I get my Age Group award?Overall and Age Group award ceremonies will take place on the "after party/entertainment stage" at approximately: 11:30am Saturday for 5K 10am Sunday for Half Marathon 11am Sunday for Full Marathon Click here for more information about our After-Party and Awards. If you would like to have your age group award mailed to you please send a check for $20 payable to: ‘Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon’ by no later than October 31, 2024. Will you have "elite" runners attending?The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon will be offering a limited number of comped entries into our marathon distance. In addition to 4 elite bottle stations and the overall 1st-5th place cash awards/trophies, we will be offering a $5,000 bonus for the first Male and/or Female that bests our fastest recorded Lakefront Marathon time (M: 2:14:09/F: 2:37:39).

How do you guarantee that the race is fair to all?The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon does not condone nor accept any athletes that do not adhere to all of the policies and rules of the USATF. Any violations will result in disqualification and the athlete may be barred from competing at the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon for a period of 5 years. It is the athletes responsibility to know the rules of the USATF.

Is this a Boston Marathon qualifying race?Yes! The course will be a Boston qualifier just like it has for 42 years!
